Overview Nick's Ice Cream
Right before we jump into the whole review, let’s talk about a brief history of Nicks’s journey to Nick’s Ice Cream. Initially, began with a co-founder of LUB Foods named Niclas “Nick” Luthman, who was diagnosed with pre-diabetes in 2014, forcing him to adjust his diet and lifestyle.
Nick obsessively studied nutrition and began following a tight low-carb, anti-inflammatory diet, essentially a keto diet, long before the term became popular. He was finally getting his health under control, but still, the diet was tedious. He missed all of his favorite meals and snacks.
In 2014, after hundreds of experiments, Nick’s self-taught food engineering talents paid off. He began on a search for delightful foods that didn’t have to sacrifice taste for health. Then, in 2015, Nick declines an opportunity to become the Chief Food Engineer at Swedish Space Agency.
Next on, in 2016 Nick was stepping into the market. He collected a group of friends and food experts who shared his interest in ice cream and wellness and founded Nick’s Ice Cream. It was exhausting work.
The journey still continues in 2017, Nick discovers old Viking writings with a recipe for frozen mammoth milk while on a recreational archaeological expedition. Believe it or not, it might be the first ice cream. All the hard work is paid off. Finally, Nick won the marker with Nick’s Ice Cream and become a global leader in sugar replacements.

Nick's Ice Cream Nutrition Review
The nutrition within Nick’s Ice Cream is a sweet natural science. All of the sweeteners are meticulously prepared from plants picked for their distinct taste. However, it will most likely taste like great ice cream to you. The main nutrition in Nick’s Ice Cream comes from birch sugar, allulose, monk fruit, erythritol, stevia, and sweet fiber.
Birch Sugar, also known as Xylitol, is available in fruits and veggies and is created in minute amounts by human bodies every day. While, Allulose is an uncommon sweetener found in raisins and figs, and the body only metabolizes a little amount of it.
Moreover, The Monk Fruit is a little green gourd that looks like a melon. Buddhist monks first employed it in the 13th century. Next on, Erythritol such as plums, pears, and fermented foods contain erythritol. It is also possible to make it from corn.
Then, Stevia also known as Steviol glycosides, which are contained in Stevia plants, have really been used for hundreds of years in South America. For the last one, the other main nutrition in Nick’s Ice Cream is Sweet Fiber. It is soluble maize fiber that contributes to the creamy texture and sweetness.
The creaminess in ice cream is typically derived from nutrient dairy fats. Nick’s Ice Cream employs EPG, a plant-based replacement fat, to give the ice creams a delicious, creamy texture while reducing calories significantly. Fewer fat calories, delicious, creamy flavor.
In terms of sweet benefits, Nick’s Ice Cream contains 220 calories per pint. A pint of Nick’s has the same number of calories as one scoop of full-fat ice cream. There are 5g of net carbohydrates per serving. Because the sweeteners are low in calories, Nick’s Ice Cream is still sweet and tasty.
What’s interesting with Nick’s Ice Cream is no added sugar. However, Swedish-style ice cream is the wonderful creamy delight that your blood sugar considers to be somewhat boring. In addition, Nick’s Ice Cream is keto-friendly. If you hate carbohydrates and like performing arithmetic, you’ll enjoy Swedish-style. Per serving, only 4-7 net carbohydrates.
Nick's Ice Cream Keto-Friendly Review
Is Nick’s Ice Cream keto-friendly? Absolutely, YES. All the products in Nick’s Ice Cream are keto-friendly. The purpose of a keto diet is to keep your blood sugar balanced while receiving your energy from fat. Because carbohydrates affect blood sugar levels, keto diets often advise decreasing your consumption.
Furthermore, the Erythritol, Allulose, and Sweet Fiber they use are labeled as carbohydrates. In reality, these components have a very low blood sugar effect when compared to sugar. As a result, Nick’s Ice Cream is definitely keto-friendly. Read on to learn more about “net carbohydrates” below!
What actually net carbs are? The keto diet favors products with the fewest net carbohydrates. Per serving, Nick’s Swedish-style ice cream contains 4g to 7g of net carbohydrates. By looking at the nutrition facts, you can determine the net carbs. Net carbohydrates = carbs – fiber – sugar alcohols (Erythritol, etc.) – Allulose
Another question, how about keto and calories? Because fat contains much more calories than carbohydrates, many keto meals have very high-calorie levels. That’s excellent for some people. However, for those who are controlling their weight, Nick’s Ice Cream products have fewer calories than ordinary ice cream. It is such great news, right?
Additionally, three of Nick’s Ice Cream best flavors contain wheat ingredients. They only use around 15-30 grams of cookie ingredients per pint. Since wheat elevates blood sugar, Nick’s Ice Cream recommends that those people on a strict keto diet should choose the other flavors with reduced net carbs.
Nick's Ice Cream Vanilj Cookie Kräm Sandwich Review
Nick’s Ice Cream proudly presents to you a Swedish-style Cookie Kräm – Vanilj Cookie Kräm. Cookie Kräms is similar to ice cream sandwiches but healthier. It tastes like they’re right from the Swedish bakery, with Swedish-style sweetness, creamy ice cream, and chewy gooey cookies. It is rich, creamy ice cream and large.
The sandwich is the ultimate better-for-you treat, with a big scoop of velvety ice cream sandwiched between two large Swedish bakery-style chocolate chip cookies. However, only 8-9 net carbohydrates per Kräm, make Cookie Kräms keto-friendly. Also, it is available in one piece until in a box of eight. Oh! No need to worry, there is no added sugar in Nick’s Ice Cream Cookie Kräms.

- Chocolate Chips
- Almond Flour
- Almond Protein

Nick's Ice Cream Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Customers usually ask the following questions when searching reviews for Nick's Ice Cream. We help to answer and making it easier for you to make a purchase decision.
Is Nick's Ice Cream healthy?
It can be said like that. Nick’s Ice Cream is a healthy ice cream since it incorporates plant-based and keto-friendly ingredients. Nick’s is comparable to several other keto-friendly ice creams in that it uses plant-based sweetener replacements, but what sets them different is the plant-based low fat that the company use, which contributes to the creamy texture while lowering the number of calories per pint.
Does Nicks Ice Cream has any gluten-free flavors?
Is Nick's Ice Cream products contain nuts?
The following variants do not include any nuts:
- Mint Chokladchip
- Swedish Vanilj
- Strawbär Swirl
- Coffee Karamell
- Swedish Cookie Dough
- Swedish Lemon Bar
- Swedish Choklad
- Birthday Cake
- Sälta Karamell

Is it Nick's really vegan?
Definitely YES! Nick’s vegan is made using an animal-free dairy protein that is completely vegan. It is produced without the use of animals and with little regard for flavor or nutrition. They’ve discovered a technique to produce dairy proteins — whey and casein, similar proteins found in cow’s milk, using microbial fermentation.
Is Nick's Ice Cream protein vegan?
YES! Flora dairy protein is produced without the need for animals. And, with the same incredible texture as regular dairy, there is no compromise in flavor or nutrients. The animal-free dairy protein is vegan, lactose-free, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free. However, since it is similar to cow proteins, it does include milk allergies, which are labeled on Perfect Day as “Contains: Milk Protein.”
Nick's Ice Cream Expert Reviews
Overall, Nick’s Ice Cream is my favorite “healthy” ice cream option. I’ll never give up good ice cream since I trust inflexible diets and have no carbohydrate or sugar limitations. Common ice cream is simply too tasty to resist. However, sometimes you really want something different, and I definitely suggest Nick’s Ice Cream. If you’re on a low-carb or keto diet, Nick’s is the best low-carb ice cream around.
Nick’s Ice Cream has a lot of other varieties that I haven’t had a chance to sample so I can’t comment on how they’re all. But, in my view, all of these things are worth a shot. They are, indeed, quite expensive. However, as an occasional treat, I feel they are well worth a try, particularly if you are as interested as I am.
After eating six different varieties of Nick’s Ice Cream, we can confidently state that this product is delicious. Particularly that Birthday Cake taste! OMG. It’s nice to have a pint of ice cream that tastes fantastic, fulfills your sweet craving, yet doesn’t make you feel bad.
Furthermore, they are always releasing new products and tastes. We will most certainly be experimenting with new tastes in the near future. If Nick’s seems like something you’d want to try, visit their website to see all of the sweet delicacies they have to offer!
Nick’s was not overstating the richness of their ice cream. These do not quite match the most premium, silky, full-fat ice creams, but in a blind tasting test, these would be difficult to distinguish as light tastes. Nick’s Swedish-style Light Ice Cream is more than simply “delicious for light ice cream.” It is excellent. It will hold its own against many popular ice cream flavors.
I did a brief study on Swedish ice cream, and the results mostly include Nick’s. There are no particularly Swedish ice cream production techniques that I am aware of. The name “Swedish” seems to relate to the brand’s founder.
Nick’s Ice Cream offers Swedish-style ice cream that is low in fat, low in calories, and keto-friendly right to your home. This ice cream is flavored with plant-based sweeteners, is free of artificial sweeteners and artificial additives, has no added sugar, and derives its creamy consistency from plant-based fat. We also like how tasty this low net carb ice cream is. Five of the six varieties we tested tasted fantastic, with no “false” or artificial aftertaste.
When Nick’s is compared to several other keto-friendly ice creams in that it uses plant-based sweetener replacements, but what sets them different is the plant-based fat that they employ, which adds to the creamy texture while lowering the number of calories per pint.
Conclusion of Nick's Ice Cream Reviews & Ratings
Finally, it comes to the end of Nick’s Ice Cream Review. Nick’s has 4 main variants such as Keto Snack Bars, Cookie Kräm, Light Ice Cream, and Vegan Ice Cream. This ice cream is made 100% vegan, with animal-free dairy protein, lactose-free, natural hormone & antibiotic-free, and gluten-free.
However, for those of you on a rigorous keto diet you need to choose the flavors with lower net carbs. Try it now and enjoy your ice cream with Nick’s Ice Cream!
